One of the burliest wheels on the market, the Spank 359 Rear wheel is Spanks all-rounder option and will be a great performer on almost any modern MTB.

The radial compliant design offers better traction and reduces wheel deflection and negative feedback, which is super important when you are pinning it through rock gardens.

These wheels do not ship with a freehub. This must be purchased separately. See the link at the bottom of the description.

Spank Hex Rear Hub - 32h

  • Materials: Made with a CNC optimised alloy hub body.
  • Rotor: 6 bolt brake rotor standard
  • Freehub: No freehub included so this must be purchased separately. See the link below.
  • Pawls: 102T, 6 pawls with 3.5-degree Engagement
  • Convertibility: These can convert to Boost QRx141 but only with adaptors (sold separately)
  • Bearing style / amount: Sealed

Spank 359 Rims:

Tubeless: Yes, the rims are tubeless-ready and come pre-taped and tubeless valves included. Bead bite technology increases tyre retention.

Rim Dimensions: Both rims have an internal diameter of 30.5mm which makes them perfect for fitting tyres between 2.0"- 2.6", without the negative squaring off of tyre profiles. They have an External Diameter of 35mm.

The effective rim diameter is where they differ:

  • 27.5: 560mm
  • 29: 598mm

Materials: Alloy.

Spokes:

  • 32h
  • Material: Stainless Steel.
  • J-bend / Straight pull: Triple-butted J-Bend spokes.

Nipples:

  • Material: Brass nipples.

Weight:

  • 27.5: 2182 grams.
  • 29: 2274 grams.

Pros: One of the most versatile wheels available. Ready to hit any trail on any bike. They feature lots of technology including Vibrocore, Oobah, and Beadbite.

Cons: There are lighter wheels out there.
