Description

Stop with confidence! If your brakes are starting to feel weak, it may be time to replace your pads.

Type J pads are finned pads to suit Shimano 2-piston brakes. The cooling fins help to disperse the heat so you get less fade under heavy, sustained braking. The same pad shape is available in Type G which is the non-finned version of this pad.

The pads are available in both Sintered - Metallic and Resin - Organic options.

Sintered/Metallic:

Pros:
  • Less fade at higher temperatures.
  • Perform better in wet conditions.
  • longer lasting.
  • Better for heavier riders and heavy, sustained braking.

Cons

  • Less Initial bite
  • Noisier

Resin/Organic:

Pros

  • Quiet.
  • Better initial bite.

Cons

  • Tend to wear out faster
  • Don't perform as well in in wet conditions.

    This is the best

    My bike actually stops and they don’t overheat any more 50, billion /10 and on top of that too I haven’t been crashing because I can actually stop now LOL

    Fit perfect- brakes feel just as good as previous, but Shimano says this new one lasts longer.

    Fit perfect- brake feel just as good as previous, but Shimano says this new one lasts longer. J03 lasted ~5000km of my mixed surface-all weather use. So longer than that would be great.
