Shimano is back again with another great iteration of the SLX brake. Featuring much of the same technology as the XT but at a more affordable price. The m7100 Race brakes are here for lightweight, high power goodness.
This is the caliper only and does not include a brake hose or banjo bolt.
Who's this for: Riders wanting a sharp, bitey brake that will control your speed down the rough stuff, without costing a kidney.
How many pistons: Two piston stoppage here.
Brake fluid: They take Shimano mineral oil fluid.
Which pads: Type G and Type J pads.
Mount: This is the brake caliper only, but they mount using a standard post mount.
Weight: Approx. 425g
Pros: Snappy brakes, great quality and without a huge pricetag behind them.
Cons: Might need to purchase a new lever.
