• Can I use the Loam stem with carbon handlebars? Yes. We recommend reading both the Loam stem and your handlebar manufacturer's installation instructions before installing carbon handlebars.
• Is there supposed to be a gap or no gap on the top bolts of the faceplate? This is a "No Gap" stem, we find these stems are the easiest to install and offer the most reliable performance. Please read their installation manual for installation instructions.
• Do you need to use friction paste with the stem? If you are using carbon handlebars you may need to use friction paste. Consult your handlebar manufacturer's installation manual.
