Description

Designed as a rear-specific tyre for use on a wide variety of trails, the Pirelli Scorpion XC R provides reliable handling and a stable tyre structure. With a rear-specific tread pattern engineered for maximum traction under accelerating and braking, this is the perfect rear tyre to pair with the Scorpion XC M upfront. The tyre's design draws on Pirelli's long history creating tyres for motocross with a central tread that emphasises accelerating and braking performance.

Pirelli's unique SmartGrip single compound rubber has excellent tear resistance and chemical grip qualities, providing consistent performance in wet and dry conditions, even as the tread starts to wear.

The 120tpi ProWALL casing is reinforced for extra puncture protection and improved handling at lower pressures. An additional layer of nylon fabric is applied over the casing sidewalls for extra protection and improved cornering stability.

Who's this item for: This rear-specific tyre is well suited to XC riders looking for a fast tyre that is tough enough to go the distance but not so heavy that'll it'll hold you back.

Suggested terrain use: This is a mixed-terrain tyre so it should be a great all-rounder.

Which wheel? For rear use only.

Casing: 120 tpi

Rim width? The relatively narrow width of these tyres would pair best with rims with internal widths under 30mm.
