Description

A gravel specific race tyre from Maxxis that is designed with extra volume for comfort. It also features tightly packed and ramped centre knobs for rolling efficiency with spaced-out side knobs to provide predictable grip in the corners.

Skinwall/Dark Tan Wall tyres: Maxxis has made a running change to replace all Skinwall tyres with the Dark Tan sidewalls. During the transition phase, there is a chance that stock from our suppliers may contain a mixture of both sidewall types so you may receive a shade that is different from what you expect. If this does happen please get in touch and we'll do our best to get you sorted with the option you'd prefer ASAP!

    Efficient grip

    Not much trade of for grip vs speed. Worked well to conver to tubeless. Gives a lot more confidence with speed on gravel.

    Outstanding all-round performer

    Very high performance, dependable and the right price point. After riding on this tyre as tubeless for about 6 months, I will be continuing to use the Rambler. Beechworth, Orange and plenty of excusions to both paved country roads, fine hard pack, and rocky with loose stones. 90kg on the bike I demand a lot of my tyres and Ive had no issues with traction and drability. In Orange I road past by many riders fixing flats on the rough stuff!! A lot has to be said for having confidence in the puncture resistance no matter the conditions.

    great tyres so far

    With about 6 hours riding / 75kms on these new tyres over steep fire trails and smooth single track, these tyres have been great. I bought these to put on my hard tail mountain bike for a 100km gravel race I'm doing soon - replacing the chunkier 2.4 inch Maxxis Ardent tyres I usually run. These are much lighter and seem to handle rough firetrails well. I haven't pushed them hard enough to find where the grip runs out, but they corner predictably and roll well. They've handled rides in wet and dry conditions well, but I havent tried them in very muddy conditions yet. I fitted them tubeless without any hassles.

    Great tyre for gravel roads

    Upgraded from a set of near-slick 47s and the difference was immediate on gravel roads. The tread inspires more confidence getting out of the saddle to climb on gravel and on descents.

    No problems, and would recommend.
