Description

Switching to Shimano from SRAM, or from SRAM to Shimano, but want to keep your fabulous Hope hubs? You'll need a new freehub, and these fit the bill perfectly! Standard Splined for Shimano compatible cassettes, and SRAM XD Driver for SRAM compatible cassettes.

Available in both steel and alloy versions. The alloy versions are lighter but can get gouged by loose-stack cassettes which can make them difficult to remove. The steel ones are a bit heavier but won't get gouged by the cassette.

PLEASE NOTE: Not backwards compatible with Pro 2 hubs

    XD Driver Upgrade

    Upgraded to an XD driver from HG on my Hope Pro 4 hubs in my spare wheels for two reasons,

    1, in my opinion the aluminium HG Driver isn't strong enough to suit the torque of ebikes, as after time the cassette bites into the driver and makes it very difficult to change out cassettes, this was my fault for not changing to a steel HG driver before using my wheels in my old 11 speed ebike.

    2, My new ebike runs an XD driver and 12 speed Transmission and wanted to use my wheels as a backup set when racing or away on riding trips.

    The install was easy, without the need for any special tools.

    The driver seal causes some drag for a while until it beds in.

    My Hope hubs have been bulletproof with the bearings still running great and little maintenance.

    Overall I'm very happy with the quality and durability for the price.

    Doing some maintenance / upgrades on my Giant Anthem. The new Hope Pro 4 Freehub is an awesome piece of equipment and sounds fantastic.

    On time

    Needed freewheel replacement urgently for a trip to USA and MTB Direct delivered in time. Love all of the Hope products. Great quality. This one was only being replaced as the thread got damaged.
