2-Piece 6-Bolt Disc Brake Rotor

Formula have updated their two-piece, semi-floating rotors to reflect the look of the rest of their rotor range. An anodized Aluminium Spider holds the revised steel brake band by six contact points. They are available with Black and Gold spiders.

 

Under heavy or prolonged braking, a single-piece rotor can start to heat up and begin to warp and wobble, which can be felt through the brake lever as pulsing. Two-piece rotors cool more efficiently than single-piece rotors, reducing these effects, which makes for more consistent lever feel and greater stopping power. These rotors are perfect for riders looking for maximum brake performance – especially downhill racers and eBike riders - but also for riders looking to shave a few grams from their bike.
