Description

Eliminate hand fatigue with Ergon's GA2 lock-on grips!

If you suffer from hand fatigue, you'll love the GA2 grips from Ergon. Utilising an ergonomic design with varying thicknesses, the GA2 eliminates pressure points and offers outstanding damping. Suitable for all-mountain and gravity type riding, these will allow you to ride longer and harder without fatigue.

Who's this item for: Suitable for all-mountain and gravity riding or for anyone that struggles with hand fatigue or arm pump.

Mounting style: These are a single clamp lock-on grip.

Material: The grips make use of a super-soft, UV stable rubber compound that is exclusively manufactured in Germany for Ergon.

Pattern: The grip shape and pattern are ergonomically designed to match the shape of the hand and require less gripping force to hang on.

Features: Right and left specific grips that are ergonomically designed to match the shape of the hand. Single clamp lock-on grip with an inboard aluminium clamp.

Soft / firm: Super soft rubber compound developed and manufactured in Germany.

End caps: These grips don't have end caps as the grip goes all the way to the outer edge.

Diameter: These are the standard version of the GA2 grip and have a 30mm diameter. Check out the fat version if you have larger hands or want more damping from the grip.

Length: 136mm

Weight: 107g per pair

Pros: Ergonomic shape positions your hands at the optimum angle and requires less force to hand on so you should feel fresher and get less arm pump with these grips.

Cons: The ergonomic shape means that you might need to play around with the positioning a bit to ensure that your hands end up in the right spot to comfortably reach your controls.

    Almost perfect

I was suffering hand cramps/fatigue and had tried multiple grips, including foam grips. I was returning to Maydena for my 3rd trip and wasn't looking forward to the bone jarring 810m vertical drop per run that left my hands aching. Running 31.8mm bars I was looking at carbon bar options but thought I'd give the Ergons a try. They are subtle in what they do, it felt like I didn't have to get them exactly lined up.

But what a difference it made! 3 days at Maydena, transit day then 5 days at Derby and beside a general body fatigue my hands are fine.

They are bar end compatible so have plugs at the end, I mounted the plugs flush with the grips which means the plugs have stayed in but the grips have been damaged by the odd fall.

The wife is running the GE on 35mm alloy bars on the same trip and has found her hand ache to have gone. The GE have an angled end, and are sealed so maybe better suited to aggressive riding, but they are also more aggressive on the texture across the top. So a slight difference but both are fine for gravity riding. I suspect the smoother top of the GA (these) results in less friction against the hand compared to the GEs.

I've got padded palms and unpadded palmed gloves. With all the subtle shaping going on with the grip, I find these most comfortable with unpadded gloves. If you want a big squishy grip, look elsewhere, but if you want grips that just feel right and dramatically reduce hand ache while providing a very direct feel, these are the…

end caps fall out and get lost

GE is a better design as does not have the end cap. small clip of a tree and you will lose the end cap and then have to buy a new pair.
