6801 LLU MAX BO - MAX-Design, Black-Oxide, ABEC-3, radial suspension bearing - 12 x 21 x 5mm -

Enduro Bearings pioneered MAX type bearings almost 20 years ago for bicycles to address the challenges associated with mountain bike pivots. MAX-type bearings provide 35-40% more load capacity than standard radial bearings by utilizing a special design where the maximum number of balls are inserted into the bearing, via a custom ground slot in the races. The additional balls, combined with deep race grooves in these bearings providing greater lateral support for the twisting and multi-directional forces associated with mountain bike pivots. This MAX-type, Black-Oxide, ABEC-3 bearing features deep-groove design races, with Grade 10 balls and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals for maximum protection against the elements, while keeping the 90% fill of Almagard extra high pressure grease inside and Black-Oxide/Magnetite coating provides an extra level of corrosion resistance and extended worry-free performance.

This bearing has been used as a suspension pivot bearing by a number of bicycle brands including Orbea.

The Enduro line of bearings are available in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls. Our bearings are always engineered with deepest groove races possible to accommodate the largest balls and feature dual-lip seals that ride in a micro-groove creating a full labyrinth to provide superior protection against the elements.

    rear linkage full rebuild

    Replacement for FSA 6801V-RS which was rusted\damaged and no grease left. Inner ring had completely seized up after being overloaded from a missing pivot bolt on alternating side. Had a bit of resistance trying to install with the bearing press kit but it went smoothly in after polishing the outer race & coating it in thin lubricant. linkages running like new again :)
