EX 471 Rim

Made famous by Aaron Gwin's tyreless DH run, the EX 471 is a bombproof rim that will hold up to every type of riding.

The EX 471 is the ultimate rim for Enduro racing and has even been used on the World Cup DH circuit. The EX 471 is the perfect combination of weight and durability. These rims will hold up to the most aggressive riding and as Gwin demonstrated, they are capable of holding up to a DH run without a tyre (probably best to not try this). We stock 27.5 32h and 28h versions. If you're building up a new wheelset, we strongly recommend these rims.

We have been enjoying these rims for the past few seasons and they are among the strongest we have used. For aggressive riding, we have used 2.3-2.5 tyres with great success. While DT Swiss states wider tyres are suitable, we feel the 2.5s are on the upper limit for the 25mm internal width.
