The Ratchet DEG system was designed to deliver a smaller engagement angle and maximised reliability by taking a different approach to common high engagement freehub systems. The simultaneous full engagement of the ratchets provides a larger contact patch than pawl hubs, resulting in a more balanced load distribution and higher reliability. Two enlarged ratchets with 90 teeth offer the smallest engagement angle ever made in the DT Swiss portfolio, allowing for more direct acceleration out of corners and faster pedal position adjustment when overcoming obstacles on technical climbs. This Limited Edition 3 Decades Silver rear hub pairs that performance with a celebration of DT Swiss' 30-year legacy.
