I was being pretty clever and making myself look a lot more experienced than I am. I read all the articles, looked up the manufacturer recommended settings, spoke all the right terminology and made the call to adjust the sag on my new dually.
I knew it was a bit soft for a robust person like me so connected my compressor and tried to add a little air. All I could hear was air coming out so I disconnected and tried again, same thing. Hmmm, so I tried the football pump, it has a better screw on connection. Same problem. Air comes out, nothing goes in.
At this point the rear is bottoming out just by sitting on it, let alone after landing a massive jump on all those double black trails I tell people I ride.
A night goes by and I find an article that explains you can't pump up your suspension with a typical tyre pump. Rookie mistake!
That night I ordered this pump, it arrived very shortly and the connection fitted on easily and airtight. Once you get to the higher pressures it took a little bit of elbow grease to keep pumping but I don't have any other pumps to compare it to. It disconnected quickly without letting further air out and takes up little space in the shed with all of the other tools I've accumulated to use once and probably won't use again. All in all, it did what I needed with little fuss, and it would do it again.

What can I say - excellent pump - why would you need to spend more on a shock pump - you’d only be paying more for a brand name product!
