Who's this item for: This is for riders looking for all the same range as a 12-speed setup with the simplicity and weight savings of a 9-speed setup. 9-speeds are great for All Mountain style riding but may not appeal to XC racers or those that like to be able to maintain a steady cadence which shifting between gears.

Compatibility All Prime 9 components are cross-compatible with other levels across the range. All of these components can be purchased separately if you want to mix and match with other Box Prime 9 parts.

Works with 10,11, or 12-speed Shimano, SRAM, and most other brands' narrow/wide chainrings (you must use a Prime 9 chain).

E-bike friendly: Yes, The Box Two Prime 9 components are suitable for use on e-bikes when used with the single-release shifter.

The multi-release shifter is not suitable for use on e-bikes.
