Perfect, lightweight pedals for XC riders!

If you're out charging miles of trail or looking for the ultimate lightweight setup, look no further than Time's XC8 pedals. The XC8 uses a carbon body to keep weight to a bare minimum and these pedals tip the scale at 286g per pair! Despite the low weight, Time didn't make any compromises when it comes to durability. The XC8 uses hollow steel spindles and steel bearing to keep them spinning freely.

As with other ATAC pedals, Time's 'Auto Tension Adjustment Concept' makes clipping in and out a breeze. The XC8 pedals feature a 3-position spring tension adjustment. Additionally, the design clears mud as you clip in which for those of you in wet and muddy climates, is a huge bonus. ATAC pedals also provide 10° of float and 5mm of lateral play which prevents knee pain. The XC8 is supplied with a pair of 10° ATAC cleats giving you disengagement at 10° of twist, but they can be run with the 13° or 17° ATAC cleats for added security.

Proven design in a lightweight package, what's not to like?

Who's this item for: Marathon and XC riders who are looking for a lightweight clip-in pedal that cleans itself and provides ease of entry and exit with great cleat retention, float and support.

Weight: 286g for the pair

Bearings: Like many pedals, the XC8 features a sealed cartridge bearing at one end and a bush at the other.

Cleat Interface: Compatible with Time ATAC cleats (included) which use the standard 2-bolt SPD-type MTB cleat mounting arrangement.

Q-Factor: Sram provide a "Distance of pedal spindle to crank arm" of 54mm which we believe refers to the distance from the centre of the ATAC springs to the crank arm.

Materials: Carbon fibre composite body, stainless ATAC springs, hollow steel spindle.

Pros: Amazing weight, excellent self-cleaning, great durability, loads of float and that famous ATAC security.

Cons: The high amount of float available may take some getting used to, but once you've experienced it, few go back.
