The SwissStop Disc 34 Shimano XTR BR-M9100 disc brake pads are high performance brake pads from SwissStop. They fit a range of brakes and are available in 2 different compounds:

The Disc RS is an organic compound with balanced characteristics. It is highly durable and has predictable, progressive brake power in all conditions. This gives the rider a smoother feel in the the brake lever, and a quieter ride. The downside is they have less tolerance for heat, so shouldn't be used for gravity type riding.

The EXOTherm 2 Compound can be described simply as Maximum Pad life with minimum brake fade. It combines a smooth modulating pad compound with a cooling finned back plate for consistent powerful braking in all conditions.

Backing plate material: The Disc RS feature a Steel back plate. The EXOTherm 2 features an alloy finned backing plate.
