CS-MX3 Wide Range 10 Speed Cassette

Looks very like a XO 9 spd cassette construction before SRAM went to the machined cassettes. Its pretty heavy in comparison to the newer design, but fits nicely and shifts well even under load. Very happy to gain the 42T and losing the 10T isn't too much of a drama when running with a 34T. Great value.

Seems well constructed, fits well, looks great. I'm running the 42t version with a sram x9 derailleur and its definitely on the limit. With a lot of fiddling it shifts ok now, but I would probably recommend the 40t unless you have a long-cage derailleur. As-is it shifts a little bit slower than my old 11-36t cassette, but that's what you'd expect with larger jumps between cogs. Of course the transitions are not as smooth as smaller 10 speed cassettes but for me it's worth it for easier climbing.

I had been using a Wolftooth 42t cog with the 16t cog on a Sram cassette which worked well, but the gear ratios on this are much better with smaller jumps between gears at the high end. Crisp shifting with a Sram GX RD - great value for money for a proper wide range cassette.

The cassette has been alright, however the shifting between cogs is disgusting even with the gears being indexed properly

Great upgrade over old 10sp xt 11-36 cassette. That extra gear I always needed for the 1x10 uphill slog. It changes up and down smoothly with an slx med derailler and xt 32 front ring. Great value and saved me going to 11speed. Looks rad too!
