Replacement pads for Shimano 4 piston brakes.  

  • Available in Metallic/sintered or organic compounds. 

Sintered/Metallic:                                                

Pros

  • Less fade at higher temperatures.
  • Perform better in wet conditions.
  • Longer lasting.
  • Better for heavier riders and steeper terrain.

Cons

  • Reduced Initial bite.
  • Can be a bit noisy.

Resin/Organic:
Pros

  • Quiet.
  • Better initial bite.

Cons

  • Tends to wear faster.
  • More prone to glazing under heavy, sustained braking.
  • Performance suffers in wet conditions.

    Works better than my old ones

    They grab just fine, haven't had any issues with loss of power after long descents, and they do tend to be quite quiet. They get loud in the wet but that's expected and fairly uncommon anyway. Either way, they'll work better than your old ones, I run both metallic and organic and they're fairly similar.
