Description

The Ride Concepts Flow Powerline shoes are flat pedal shoes designed for shredders by shredders. With rugged construction, super grippy sole and an abundance of features like an asymmetrical collar and D3O shock-absorbing insoles, they not only look good but will keep your feet planted, so you can keep crushing trails.

Who's It For: Perfect for Trail, Enduro or Downhill riders looking for a flat pedal shoe full of features.

Pedal Interface: Flat pedals only.

Closure: They feature a standard lace-up closure, with a fully gusseted tongue to prevent any debris or dirt from getting in.

Upper Materials: Features a durable, ventilated synthetic upper with anti-abrasion mesh. The materials used allow the shoes to dry quickly after riding in wet conditions and the ventilation allows them to breathe during your ride. The featured asymmetrical medial collar offers additional shock absorption and protection on the inner side of the shoes.

Sole Materials: They feature a DST 4.0 Max Grip compound rubber outsole with a moulded rubber toe cap for added protection. This is the softest and tackiest compound they offer for maximum grip on the pedals. They have a raised EVA midsole for extra stability and shock absorption.

Sole Type: The hexagon patterned tread allows for deep penetration of pedal pins and together with the Max Grip rubber compound offers exceptional levels of grip. The inner sole features shock-absorbing D3O technology to keep you comfortable, even on the big hits.

Weight: The weight is not listed by Ride Concepts.

Fit Type: They feature a male-specific Tech fit.

Pros: So much grip! They feature Ride Concepts grippiest rubber, they are durable and full of shock-absorbing technology.

Cons: They are probably a bit bulky for XC style riding.

    very nice shoes

very high quality shoe and very comfortable.

the best bit is your easy to find when you crash head first into a bush with the orange soles.

    Best shoes in a decade

I've been hunting for a replacent shoe for my old trusty/crusty five ten karvers for years with little success. Shimanos, northwaves, even other five tens and nothing's come close to stacking up to the comfort and grip of my old karvers. I've had to repair the karvers multiple times, to the point where they're more adhesive than shoe, and yet they were still the best shoe I had on top of the pile of dissapointments.

These RCs let me breathe a sigh of relief. No more repairing a pair of shoes that are well past their used by date. No more buying expensive shoes and being let down by either the grip or the comfort or the durability of the sole or all of the above. I've got a shiny new pair of shoes that feel and grip like my old ones and I'm flat out stoked

    Mixed bag

Bought this shoes after wearing through my previous pair of flatlines.

The shoe ticks so many of the right boxes. They look great in my opinion, lots of protection, very very comfortable, close to perfect fit, warm but not sweaty, relatively light (398g per shoe, size 42) and well put together. They grip very well also, I can't imagine needing more.

The soles are thick and normally thick soles mean stiff soles so although you tend to loose pedal feedback you gain that solid platform feel on the pedal. Unfortunately not here, the sole is both thick and relatively soft. This results in a complete lack of pedal feedback and there's enough bend in the sole to notice slight discomfort after long durations on your feet. I find I need to focus more on foot position and weighting than my older shoes which were certainly not as sticky. The shoe often feels like it's ejecting off the pedal, but I attribute this to the lack of feel.

A grippy and protective MTB shoe

These shoes have great grip on the pedal. They are super protective with a sturdy toe cap. They are true to size. I am a 12 in nike, addidas, asics. In a size 12 in Ride Concepts they are just marginally smaller, which i think is due to the solid toe cap. Well worth the money.
