Description
Regardless of the type of trails you ride, feeling safer gives you more confidence and riding confidently can bring about a better riding experience. Pushing yourself harder or testing your limits is only possible when you feel securely protected from the risks involved. The latest incarnation of Lazer's Jackal MTB helmet provides Virginia Tech 5-star safety-rating and a host of features that make your riding experience more comfortable.
With a magnetic buckle system, the helmet can be secured with one hand even with your gloves on and the TurnSys adjustment system cradles your head with adjustments in both vertical and horizontal planes. Ventilation has been prioritised with intake and exhaust vents positioned and shaped to keep you cool even while wearing glasses or goggles and the helmet has even been shaped to reduce pressure when wearing glasses and a goggle grip provided to keep goggles secure.
The visor has a wide range of motion and is easily moved for improved visibility and to make way for your goggles on the run back up the hill, and there is even an included camera mount for the ultimate in seamless integration.
The KinetiCore system is Lazer's proprietary integrated rotational impact protection system, the result of a decade of research and development in conjunction with some of the world's top universities. KinteiCore features shaped blocks of EPS foam built into the helmet that form carefully designed "Crumple Zones" that absorb the direct and rotational energy that otherwise would have reached your brain. This system also has the effect of improving ventilation as well as reducing the amount of plastic used in the manufacturing process and thus also making the helmet lighter.

Construction: In-mould EPS foam with integrated KinetiCore crumple Zones.
Rotational liner: Not an add-on liner as such, The Lazer Jackal KinetiCore features built-in "Crumple Zones" that protect against direct and rotational impacts which have earned it a Virginia Tech 5-star safety rating for rotational impact tests.
Straps: Y-straps with yoke and Lazer's easy to use magnetic buckle.
Retention System: The Lazer Jackal utilises their TurnSys fit system with horizontal adjustment via the ScrollSys dial and belt, as well as vertical adjustment of the fit belt position at the back of your head.
Ventilation: 14 large vents are provided specifically designed as intake and exhaust vents and the integrated blocks of the KinetiCore system increase airflow around your head, plus there are brow vents to reduce the chance of your eyewear fogging up.
Padding: A one-piece padding component is provided for optimal comfort, fit and sweat management. It is removable and hand-washable.
Visor: Large integrated visor with a wide range of motion, easily movable for visibility changes or to store your goggles.
