    Do the homework before starting.

The instructions on the website are easy to follow, so if you have replaced parts on your bike before, you shouldn't have much trouble with this. Just read the instructions a few times and stare at the derailleur until you understand why stuff needs to happen. Make sure that you use a NEW or QUALITY allen key to remove the old cage because you could easily round out the screw, which seems to be made of cheese. X1 and X01 derailleurs seems easier to disassemble as my GX one refused to come apart. The cage fulfills it's purpose when combined with the wide range cassette.

    Works well

Easy to install on a Shimano XT 8000 derailleur and works well with the Garbaruk cassette.
