Description

The Fox Flexair Pro Fire Alpha Jacket is the jacket you want for unpredictable weather during the cooler months. Using advanced Polartec Alpha fabrics, it provides insulation that adapts the level of breathability which eliminates the need to shed or add layers when the weather changes. Airflow is managed with large intake vents on the chest and exhaust vents on the back to prevent overheating. It also offers some basic protection from water and debris with a durable water repellent finish.

    Good stuff

One of those things I hate riding in the cold is having to put on, then take off, then put on again, then take off again, then put on and damnit, take off again your jacket as you're riding. Worst, stopping mid climb to take off your jacket off because you are stewing.

Well, I didn't experienced any of that with this nifty jacket. It kinda self regulated the warmth vs the cold weather itself. I'm not gonna go in-depth with the sciency stuff how it does that, but it does it really well. Even on a long gruelling climb. I realised I didn't take it off until I reached the pub at the end of the ride. Good stuff. It's also a little big I guess to compensate with the riding jersey and body armour.

    More suited to 15° C - 0° C

Warm jacket , long arms , long tail to keep off mud , good vents to open . Probably suited about 10 ° C and colder with normal jersey underneath when working hard , seemed ok around 17 ° C taking it easy but did get sweaty arms climbing at that temp.

Zips felt OK nothing special , sweaty back guaranteed with Camelbak ,
