Love photography? Love riding but hate the sweaty back from a backpack? Evoc has the solution with their Hip Pack Capture. With the ability to hold a DSLR camera as well as a waterbottle, two small quick access hip pockets, carry straps for larger items, internal tool organisation section.

I bought this bag primarily for bike-packing use, aiming to take wildlife shots on multi-day trips but also to some extent on rides around town. I was very happy with it across a initial three-day trip: placed low on the hip it gave no back strain at a weight (with camera) of 1.2 kg, and did not contact a fully loaded Tailfin rack. Using the Velcro dividers, I had my camera positioned centrally in the bag with an air pocket either side as I am not carrying extra lenses. This no doubt protected it when I took a fall on one hip: no resulting damage. The bag has an integrated rain cover along with straps to carry a very small tripod, but I dont think I will be using those. Placing the camera in a lightweight dry bag inside the Evoc is probably safer if there is water around. There are belt pockets for small items like a lens cloth or keys. Construction looks rugged. Overall happy with the purchase.

So the photo doesn't do justice what you can fit in here. I can easily store my full sized DSLR mounted with a 30mm and a huge wide 17-55mm. It sits on the lumbar so it's very comfortable even when you're taking the big hits and tolerable when doing them long climbs. Issue here is, once you add the water bottle on the side - it goes from sitting still on the back to it going all over the place. So my mate will need to bring my water for me. Unless I bring just the DSLR + 30mm and balance the weight of the camera to one side, the bottle to the other then it's all good.
