Ergon Gd1 Evo Lock On Grips - Orange
Ergon Gd1 Evo Lock On Grips - Orange
- Colour:
- Orange
- Grip Component:
- Single Lock On Grips
Known for their comfortable, innovative grips, Ergon has introduced a gravity specific grip with a tapered grip shape that is all about maximising control and reducing the gripping force required to hang on when things are getting wild.
The GD1 offers all the great clamping features found on their other models, CNC machined clamps for 100% slip-free performance and durable construction. The GD1 is gravity specific in the shape and materials used. The GD1 provides more damping on the outside of the grip, while it has a narrower profile towards the inside. Combined with a soft and tacky rubber compound, the GD1 will provide comfort and control on the most technical terrain. If you've ever slipped a grip or experienced hand fatigue, you'll love the GD1.
Who's this item for: Optimised for gravity disciplines such as DH and Enduro, but they'll work great on other bikes as well.
Mounting style: These are a single clamp lock-on grip.
Material: The grips make use of a super-grippy and slow-rebound, rubber compound that is exclusively manufactured in Germany for Ergon. The grips feel soft, yet still very defined and precise.
Pattern: The top of the grip has an anti-slip profile while the bottom is optimised to minimise the gripping force required when pulled.
Features: Tapered grip shape thicker at the outer edge and thinner in the inner edge. This provides more damping at the external edge to smooth out vibrations and the thinner internal edge makes it easier to hang on with less hand fatigue. An inner flange makes it easier to find your preferred hand position in an instant. Single clamp lock-on grip with an inboard aluminium clamp.
Soft / firm: Soft rubber compound developed and manufactured in Germany. The grips feel soft, yet still very defined and precise.
End caps: These grips have replaceable end caps.
Diameter: Tapered grip shape is 32mm at the outer edge and 30mm at the inner edge.
Length: 144mm overall length, 120mm usable area
Weight: 145 grams for the pair.
Pros: Optimised for gravity riding. These grips offer precise control while minimising hand fatigue.
Cons: You'll probably want to buy a couple of pairs to put them on your other bike/s as well.
There is also a slim version of this grip for riders with smaller hands, or those that just prefer a smaller grip. See the link below.
