The Time ATAC MX-4 is designed as a versatile and dependable clip-in pedal that will be enjoyed by a wide range of riders for whom a natural motion of engagement and freedom of movement on the bike are high priorities. This includes everyone from Enduro racers to regular All-Mountain and Trail riders as well as Fatbike riders and Gravel Grinders.

The large platform combined with the natural 'step-in' motion and wide float angle make the MX-4 an unrestrictive pedal to use and encourage an easy but positive cleat engagement that is both secure and comfortable.

The mud and debris shedding capabilities of the ATAC are probably only second to the Crankbrothers Eggbeater, with the action of stepping into the pedal clearing away any mud, rocks or dirt. With a glass-filled composite body and hollow steel spindle, the MX-4 is both durable and lightweight, coming in at only 384g for the pair.

The MX-4 is supplied with a pair of 10° ATAC easy cleats giving you disengagement at 10° of twist, but they can be run with the 13° or 17° ATAC cleats for added security.

Who's this item for: Trail through to Enduro riders who are looking for a clip-in pedal that cleans itself and provides ease of entry and exit, good float and a wide support platform.

Weight: 384g

Bearings: Like many pedals, the MX-4 features a sealed cartridge bearing at one end and a bush at the other.

Cleat Interface: Compatible with Time ATAC cleats (included) which use the standard 2-bolt SPD-type MTB cleat mounting arrangement.

Q-Factor: Sram provide a "Distance of pedal spindle to crank arm" of 54mm which we believe refers to the distance from the centre of the ATAC springs to the crank arm.

Materials: Glass-filled composite body, stainless ATAC springs, hollow steel spindle.

Pros: Excellent self-cleaning, even better durability, loads of float and that famous ATAC security.

Cons: The high amount of float available may take some getting used to, but once you've experienced it, few go back.
