Description

This is SRAM and Avid's top of the line bleed kit. It uses premium quality syringes that are a pleasure to use time and time again.

Includes everything you need to bleed a set of SRAM or Avid brakes.

Kit Includes:

2 x High quality, O-Ring Sealed Syringes for DOT Fluid ONLY.

2 x O-Rings for the main seals on the syringes

2 x Standard Adaptors/Hoses to screw into most Avid/SRAM Brakes (these have metal fittings)

1 x Bleeding Edge Adaptor/Hose to screw into newer SRAM Brakes

Torx Head Key for accessing Bleed Ports

Assorted Brake Pad / Piston Spacers

4 x Replacement Olives

4 x Replacement Barbs

Assorted Spare O-Rings for Brakes/Syringe Fittings

    It works!

    I considered buying a 'lesser' bleed kit, but decided to lash out on this. Buy once, buy right. The kit seems really good, although I've never had a crappy one to compare it to.

    After reading some online experiences of SRAM brake bleeding difficulties, I made sure I grabbed the manual from the website. The kit even has a handy QR code! Luxury. The manual is painful, being in 8 different languages for each step, rather than being a full English version, then French, etc. The process is more complicated than my motorcycle, for example, but once you decipher it, the process works well. Just make sure the tiny O-rings are in place on the syringe screw threads, or you'll end up leaking fluid or overtightening and screwing the threads in your brake calliper. The clips on the hoses are also very stiff at first. I'm pretty confident in my grip and jar-opening ability, but I still found needle-nose pliers a big help. Not sure how long the hoses will last, but pretty confident they can be replaced.

    In summary: Buy kit > Read instructions > Examine box contents and bike > Read instructions again > Apply instructions > Brake with confidence!

    SRAM Bleed

    Bleeding with Sram is fussier than it needs to be, but having the right gear halves the pain. Kit came quickly and has heaps of spare seal rings for the kit. Dot5 is Dot 5 so you can buy it when needed, it starts to absorb water once the seal is cracked.
