Sintered/Metallic: Pros
- Less fade at higher temperatures.
- Perform better in wet conditions.
- Longer lasting.
- Better for heavier riders and sustained braking.
Cons
- Reduced initial bite (compared to resin)
- Tend to be a bit noisier
Resin/Organic:
Pros
- Quiet.
- Better initial bite.
Cons
- Tend to wear out faster.
- Reduced performance in wet conditions.
