Description

The World's Smallest and Lightest Multi-Tool with 2-8Nm Torque Measurement!
T-Ratchet + T-Torque combines two highly versatile tools to form a powerful force for good. Roughly 70% of damage to high end carbon components such as seat posts, handlebars and stems happen due to making adjustments without using torque. This problem is further accentuated by the fact that the majority of adjustments made without torque occur on the roadside or trailside. This makes sense, as you might set up your new ride or component at home using your shop torque tool, or a pre-set torque tool, but need to raise/lower your saddle, or adjust the tilt of your bars out on the road. Too low of a torque and the component will slip which is both unsafe and can cause damage; too high a torque and you can crush the component and damage it beyond repair.

T-Ratchet + Ti-Torque solve these problems by delivering a highly ergonomic tool with a torque measuring extender that provides real time feedback to the torque you are tightening to. The Ti-Torque beam now has three separate scales on it, 2-6, 3-5 and 4-8, which to allow you to more easily see when you've reached your desired torque setting. Simply locate which scale you want to use, begin tightening the fastener and watch as the scale shows you how much torque is being applied IN REAL time. No presets or adjustments required.

The T-Ratchet uses interchangeable magnetic components to convert from screwdriver to ratchet, to ratcheting T-Handle in seconds, which gives the user the ability to have several tools at once in an extremely small package. The tool, which includes the ratchet, an extender, Ti-Torque and bits sized H2, H2.5, H3, H4, H5, H6, T10, T20, T25 and Phillips H2; then breaks down into a trademark SILCA Duck waxed canvas carrying case measuring 120mm x 70mm x 30mm which means it will easily disappear into a jersey pocket. Lastly, thanks to it's Titanium and Aluminum construction, Ti-Torque weighs in at a mere 30 grams meaning you'll hardly notice it's there until you need it.

    Not cheap, but real fancy

This torque tool set doesn't really belong in a workshop. It's the sort of thing you buy as a gift for one dear to you, or yourself as a treat, if you have the cash to burn. It's a really well made, fancily packaged tool set and the price reflects that - whether it's worth the almost $200 dollarydoos will be something one decides for oneself!

That said, the ratchet and torque gauge is great for bike stuff. The handles and gauge can be assembled however to reach basically whatever screw you need to access. Pleased with the thumb knob opposite the ratchet drive, which you can hand-turn to undo or insert loose bolts (handy if access is difficult). Not sure I'd risk using the ratchet to undo a very tight screw - it's not "that" heavy duty - but if you've done up your own you'll know what is safe to wrench loose with it. The set is light and compact, certainly worth chucking in the bag or jersey before a trip if space or weight is a worry. Despite the cost, I don't regret this buy at all.
