Description

Shimano XTR is well known for its quality and the Shimano XTR Trail PD-M9120 SPD Pedals are XTR through and through. Aimed directly at All Mountain and Enduro riders these pedals will tick most boxes for riders who are after a top quality pedal with a wide and long contact area that provides a more solid pedal to shoe interface which transmits power efficiently. Whilst these are best paired with Shimano's range of ME and AM shoes they are just at home in a wide range of MTB SPD shoes.

The binding platform is protected with a durable and lightweight integrated cage that surrounds the binding and makes it easier for stepping into as it acts like a guide.
The new axle design is more durable than ever before and weighing in at 405g a pair these will offer you better bike control whilst giving you the durability and logivity that an XTR product will provide.

    Superb - as you would expect

    - Weight is 396 grams, so exactly (allowing for kitchen scale) what it says on the Shimano website - not that I will ever notice the difference between these and the XT at 410 grams that I would have purchased if they were available

    - It is nice to have my first-ever item from the XTR range though

    - They work just like all Shimano pedals - the platform is a good size, and easy entry and exit

    - Great pedal

    Slim, and easy entry, decent support

    I really like these pedals. I also have a set of crank bros mallet e but ride mainly in a rocky area and found that I had a few heavy pedal strikes.

    These are so slim, this is way less of an issue. Platform doesn't feel as big as the CB (it's not) but there are easy to clip into, offer enough platform to support a trail shoe if you have to unclip and it takes a second to get back in.

    I prefer the float of the CB but if you want a pedal that is a bit of a mix between trail and xc, get these.

    I'll use the CBs on flow trails though.
