Each component has been ergonomically optimized to enhance performance and control for your little shredder.

Who's this item for: Kids from 6+ riding bikes that range from 18" - 24" wheels.

Bars: Slater 650 Bar
  • Material - 6061 series alloy.
  • Width - 650mm for optimised control.
  • Sweep - 8° Upsweep pair with 5° Backsweep, just like mummy and daddy's bars!
  • Rise - 20mm.
  • Clamp diameter/bore - 31.8mm clamp to suit most modern kids bikes.
  • Weight - Manufacturers' claimed weight of 260-grams.
  • Features - The bars taper to 19mm ends to fit smaller OD grips. Perfect for kids!

Grips: Slater Jr Grips
  • Mounting style - Integrated single-sided lock-on. Just like the adult version of the Slater Grip.
  • Material - Dual density rubber with a tapered and slotted plastic core to prevent grip slippage.
  • Diameter - 25-26mm outer diameter. Great for small hands.
  • Length - 115mm
  • Weight - Manufacturers' claimed weight of 55-grams.
  • Features - These grips exclusively fit the 19mm bar end diameter of the SDG Slater bar. They feature a plush SDG Icon pattern for great grip, vibration dampening and comfort.

Pedals: Slater 90 Pedals
  • Dimensions and Weight - 90 x 90mm small platform has a 'gripper' pattern for increased traction. The manufacturers' claimed weight is 310-grams per pair.
  • Bearings / DU bushings - The pedals are fully sealed and feature a lightweight DU bushing design.
  • Pin Quantity - There are 12, rear loading, replaceable steel pins in each pedal, 6 on each side.
  • Materials - The body is made from a nylon composite while the pedal axle is made from Cro-Mo.

Saddle: Fly Jr Saddle
  • Cover - Made from a synthetic leather it has Cordura protected sides for durability.
  • Padding - A very comfy plush PU foam.
  • Shell - Plastic.
  • Rails - Steel.
  • Weight and dimensions - The manufacturers' claimed weight is 270-grams while the saddle measures 235mm long x 122mm wide.
  • Features - This is the industries first branded kids specific MTB saddle. It has been anatomically designed for smaller sit bones and kids riding positions. The saddle has a slight rear-rise platform which enables pelvis rotation and more power from the seated position. There is a peri-canal that runs from tip to tail. The nose of the saddle is oversized in proportion to the remainder of the saddle to aid with climbing.

  • This shim kit includes 4 x 15mm nylon shims so you can easily mount all the cockpit controls to the 19mm Slater Bar.

    great finishing kit

    This was fitted to a 24* trek superfly.

    The bars are a grwat width for a 10yo.

    The saddle is a big improvement over the original bontraeger saddle.

    The nylon pedals have good grip from the studs and not too heavy.

    The bar ends are snug even before they are tightened on. You think you havent loosened the clamp screw and then the clamp nut falls out. Then you realise it was loosened, the grips are just snug. The shims on the other hand slid really easily.

    It all co es together well and the feedback from the rider is very positive.

    The only drawback is when the grips and bar are used with RevoShift shifters. Ypu dont get a nice fit between the grip and shifter. Also you need another couple of bar shims as you really need two per Revo shifter. (You need 1 each for the brakes) With conventional trigger shufters, it would all be perfect. But i have given 4 stars becuase of the not quite integration with revo shift, and many smaller riders still use grip shifters.

    Great kit all around.
