Description

The Hip VPD 2.0 Shorts offer great freedom of movement and provide a high level of protection for your tailbone and hips. POC's VPD adapts to the shape of your body, but when exposed to impact, the material stiffens and has extreme impact absorption properties. The Hip VPD 2.0 Shorts are flexible due to the stretch and ventilated mesh construction. The perforated 3-ply VPD 2.0 hip protection complies to the 1621-1 motorcycle standard.

    Good shorts

    Good hip protection on these shorts, which is what I wanted but the chamois is virtually non existent. It’s so small it really doesn’t do anything for your sit bones. They are great for downhill riding as you’re not sitting much but if you do a lot of cross country riding look for something better.

    Comfy and work well.

    Most comfortable and effective crash shorts I've used. Have had some big crashes with these, they get the job done.

    Hips don't lie (or rather POC doesn't)

    If you value your money-maker like I do, then there's no better pair of hip shorts to slip into before going out on your ride.

    Was distracted by a freakishly giant spider coming round a corner because Australia when I took a fall, and these shorts did their job with barely a complaint. My hips still move better than Shakira (according to myself) and I live to dance another day.

    Comfortable hip protection

    I was slightly concerned these would be uncomfortable on long climbs, but my first outing in them proved I had nothing to fear. The positioning of the hip pads make you forget they are even there and the fabric is very comfortable. The chamois is a little thin, but put on an extra pair of padded shorts first and this cures that. The extra hip padding makes squeezing them over shorts a different overall experience, but its nothing a hip wiggle wont fix! All in all, a great pair of shorts!
