Freestanding or mounted: Freestanding. The PCS-10.2's base forms a triangle of 92 x 92 x 121cm when fully open. This equates to a metric shed load of stability. So much stability that if you ensure the load is centred over the legs the stand will comfortably support 36kg.

How does it hold the bike: It can hold the bike in a variety of ways. The most common way is via the seat post, but the wide range of adjustment in the clamp allows lots of frame shapes to be clamped onto as well. In saying that, we strongly advise against clamping onto any carbon frame. The cam-actuated clamp featured is a thing of legends. It allows quick entry and exit of bikes and has an enormous clamping range from 25 to 76mm (diameter). That huge range will clamp onto virtually any material or shape of seat post. (Yup, even the aero post on that TT bike you bought 3 years ago when you were talked into doing your local triathlon by some mates). Another nice touch is how small the clamping jaws are. At only 70mm tall they can clamp onto the shortest of exposed seat posts.

Weight capacity: A massive 36kg. This thing will hold up the e-bikes from 10 years ago! Or the downhill bikes from 15 years ago!

Working height range: The PCS-10.2 has a super easy to use quick-release height adjustment feature that ensures an ergonomic working height. Adjustable from 99 to 145cm.

Materials: The stand features an all-steel structure for maximum stiffness and durability. The tubes are teardrop-shaped for added strength which also ensures precise positioning during use and when folding/unfolding. The quick-release mechanisms are made from aluminium for strength and weight savings. The top tube internals and fittings are made from a super-strong glass-filled nylon composite which results in an ultra-smooth rotation and secure positioning. The majority of the stand has been covered in a durable textured powder coat (Park Tool blue) finish.
