The Microshift Advent CS-H093 9 Speed Steel Cassette is the most beautiful lump of steel we've laid our eyes upon. 9 cogs, with optimised spacing to give an even spread of gear ratios reducing the need for double shifting. With low enough gears to get you up the hill and high enough gears to have you rocketing back down it's a wonder we ever thought we needed 12-speed. Did we mention it fits a standard HG freehub body?
Who's this item for: Riders who already have the Advent shifter and derailleur and are looking to finish off the group-set.
Number of gears: 9. Yes! Only nine. Gear tuning just got easier and the cost of chains just got cheaper.
Weight: The Advent cassette with the aluminium large cog weights a bit over 440-grams including the lockring. The all steel 11-46t cassette weighs 595g.
Materials / construction: Available in an all steel option, or with one alloy cog to save some weight. Not just any steel though. Carbon steel that is continuously forged for durability and strength. (Did you hear that e-biker's??) The cogs feature ramped and profiled teeth which deliver smooth, quiet, consistent shifts. All this steel is joined together using a pinned construction method.

Pros: Fits a standard HG freehub. Great gear spacing means you won't have to double shift to get the right gear like you often need to on 11/12 speed setups..
Cons: Its weight. Although not crazy heavy it does weight a bit.
