Description

The MET Parachute MCR is the ultimate convertible helmet. Made to tackle the demands of Enduro, All-Mountain or e-MTB riding it's truly two helmets in one. It's packed full of technology that will not only keep you safe, but make sure you get the most out of your ride.

The magnetic chinbar release system designed with Fidlock means it's easy to add the chinbar when extra protection is required or simple to remove it when it's not. The adjustable visor not only keeps the sun out of your eyes but features a unique design that will fold under impact to reduce rotational forces to your neck. It has MIPS, 21 vents to keep you cool, and most importantly, it looks awesome.

Construction: It features an In-Mould construction with a shock-absorbing poly inner.

Rotational liner: Yes, it features a MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) liner to reduce rotational forces in the event of a crash.

Straps: It has embedded strap anchors with an easy to use Fidlock magnetic buckle (no more mucking around with D links).

Retention System: Features a ponytail friendly BOA FS1 fit system, to ensure the helmet is secure and comfortable.

Ventilation: 21 vents mean this helmet stays cool even on hard climbs and techy descents.

Padding: It features removable and washable cheek pads, that come in 2 sizes so you can really dial your fit.

Weight: Without the chinbar it weighs 433 - 495gm, with the chin bar it weighs 820 - 880gm depending on size.

Pros: It's lightweight, breathable and full of features to keep you safe. It not only looks great but functions exceptionally well as both a full face and an open face helmet.

Cons: All those great features do have a bit of a price attached to them.

    Versatile Lid

    You get the best of both worlds with this lid. Awesome trail helmet and the added protection for gnarly descents. Super easy to remove/replace MCR and easily tucked away on the climb. Airflow is great and doesn't feel constrictive or limit FOV. Highly recommend for anyone looking at convertible lids.

    An excellent helmet for all mountain riding

    I had been waiting to get my hands on this lid for some time as it has been selling out like hotcakes everywhere online.

    You wanna grab one from MTBDirect though! Its got the best price online and the fastest shipping (even in this day and age!)

    The lid itself is awesome though! The removal chin bar is very easy to take on/off and stays on strong (havent had a stack yet though!) but looks like it will save your teeth if need be.

    The helmet is a great fit, the boa adjustment switch is perfect and the magnetic chin straps are super easy to take on/off.

    The sweat pads are great, super absorbent, the chin strap pads are good too, my face seems to need to loose some weight on the cheeks (good motivation!) I think you will be very pleased with it

    Safety, style and comfort!

    Had this for a few months now, and wanted to use this more than a little before writing any thoughts.

    Firstly, between two different sets of cheek pads, the back tension dial, which can be aligned in three separate height positions, and a comfortable chin strap (with magnetic fidlock!!), I've found this lid VERY comfortable and I forget it's on my head honestly.

    I've got what I think is an annoying 61cm head where hats are often hard to size right, and with a large size this helmet sits really in a sweet spot once we're all tightened up.

    Recently took a fantastic hard hit with it, and came out smiling from direct chin to ground action and the back of my bike slamming my head. Still in perfect safe order with no damage.

    Very happy I spent what is for a lot of people, a premium amount, to get a premium product.

    Incredible Helmet

    An incredible helmet is good looking, comfortable, and has amazing functionality. Definitely recommend for anyone wishing to begin racing or is stepping it up a level and wants to level up the protection at the same time.
