Description

Designed for smashing muddy downhill courses, the Maxxis Wetscream's main purpose is for competition use on maintained race tracks. As you'd expect with a mud tyre, the mud-shedding capabilities are second to none, while still proving immense amounts of grip due to the massive knobs!

Note: This is the V1 version of this tyre

DH Casing

  • Dual Ply: Also known as Downhill casing, this is 2 x 60TPI layers. It also has a Butyl insert stretching from the bead up the sidewall. This makes a huge difference in pinch flat protection, while also supporting the sidewall of the tyre.
  • 3c MaxxGrip: 3C MaxxGrip uses the softest rubber compounds to offer the ultimate in grip and slow rebound properties for unparalleled traction in downhill applications

    Suprizingly good

To start with i am not your normal mtber i ride stupid steep and grarly long xc rides not imba xc picture moto single track 80 k ride up down yes up , any way about the wet dream firstly its really skinny mounted on a 30m int rim its 55mm wide,it seals great is not as slow as i was expecting i,m running a shorty on the rear which is a bit slow it took about 50 km to run in ie get rid of the slippery waxy shit ,i ve ridden it in loose loam wet loam rocks yes rocks gravel and hard pack clay and its pretty good everywere no squerm no burp predictable the one thing i think is it would be better on a 25mm rim to make the profile a bit rounder it does feel like it runs out of nobs due to the square profile from the 30 mm rim it worth a try if you want something better than the shorty in soft conditions and its bettter in the rocks than the shorty by miles ,it did take me a while to sort the psi as the casing is a lot stiffer than an exo,one last thing if your ride mtb parks this thing is total overkill.
