Maxxis Freeride tubes are for aggressive riders who are willing to take a weight penalty for flat protection.

Who's this item for: These are heavier tubes that work great for downhill-oriented riding. However, you will feel the added weight and they are not the best choice for trail riding. We recommend Maxxis Welterweight tubes for trail bikes.

Removable valve core: Yes, the valve cores are removable.

Tube wall thickness: 1.2mm.

Weight:

  • 26 x 2.2-2.5: 293g.
  • 27.5 x 2.2-2.5: 327g.
  • 29 x 2.2-2.5: 348g.

Materials: Butyl rubber with a metal valve stem and core.

    Bigger, better, thicker

    Love these tubes. They will compliment my Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres on my ebike to hopefully remove the probability of pesky puctures.

    Decent tube, add some slime to it for great thorn resistance.

    I stuffed the tubless capability of my rear rim, so now running tubes again, but this one with some slime works great, and on the plus it hold pressure, I don't have to pump it up every second day.
