Keeping in step with Marzocchi’s founding philosophies, Bomber CR Coil Shock prioritises suspension performance, ride quality and durability and pairs that up with the engineering quality and reliability of Fox (Marzocchi's parent company). The Bomber CR is essentially a new and updated version of Fox's classic Vanilla Coil shock, providing high levels of performance and the amazing feel of a coil, but keeping things simple by limiting the available adjustments to low-speed compression and rebound.
Who is this for: Riders looking to switch their existing shock to a coil to experience the traction, planted feel, and reliability that only a coil can provide. Best suited for riding where the focus is on descending performance.
Spring type: Coil Spring. Compatible with Fox and Marzocchi coils. No spring included. See link to purchase one below.
Stroke length: The stroke varies according to the model chosen.
Compression damper adjustments: Low-speed compression only.
Rebound damper adjustments: Low-speed rebound only.
Volume adjustability: This is a coil shock so there is no option to adjust the air volume.
DU bushing size / style: Compatible with standard Fox 5-piece reducers with the IGUS polymer bushing. The size of the reducers you need is determined by your frame rather than by the shock so check your frame manual or with the frame manufacturer to determine which size you need.
Pros: Get the performance and feel of a coil shock without blowing up your bank account. Low-speed compression and rebound adjustment should be all you need to get the shock dialled in without obsessing over what an extra click here or there might do.
Cons: Some riders who like to be in total control of their suspension may miss the lack of high-speed compression and rebound adjustment on this shock. The Fox DHX2 may be the better option if that is the case.
