Description

Thin grips offer great performance but don't normally provide much rubber under your palm which can transmit a lot of vibration into your hands.

By making the rubber eccentric to the bar, the top of the grip is level from end to end and without the raised pressure point often found at the end of thin concentric grips, and places more rubber on top of the grip than the bottom.

By removing areas of the inner core, there's even more rubber under the heel of your hand where you need it most. The relief at the thumb forms a flexible pad allowing for a small amount of flex that absorbs chatter and vibration.

Riding with the meat of your palm over the end of the bar has become the preferred way for many riders to handle their bike. Along with the flat top and thicker rubber at the end, LoamLab made this grip a little shorter (115mm rubber) to suit this hand position better than longer grips. It offers more freedom for brake lever setup, while still allowing inboard hand positions.

Who's this item for: The LoamLab grips are for anyone that likes a thin grip but would like something that provides a bit more comfort and vibration damping.

Mounting style: These are single clamp lock-on grips.

Material: Rubber, 6061-T6 Aluminium, Stainless Steel Hardware

Pattern: Diamond pattern chequering where it's needed for grip, smooth rubber where it's beneficial for comfort.

Features: Eccentric design with inner core cutouts provides more rubber under the outer palm and under the thumb for extra comfort.

End caps: These grips use a single-clamp design with a sealed end and don't have any end caps.

Soft / firm: These are soft grips with extra rubber where you need it most for extra comfort and vibration damping capabilities.

Diameter: Quite thin at 29mm but the cutouts in the inner core provide more rubber under the outer palm and the thumb so they perform like thicker grips, just without the extra bulk.

Length: 115mm - a little shorter than most grips to provide greater freedom for brake lever setup while keeping you in the sweet spot of the grips with both inboard and outboard hand positions.

Weight: 110g per pair

What's in the box: Pair of grips and inner lockrings with hardware.

    My new favourite grips

I'm a bit of a princess when it comes to grips - very picky. These grips are simply amazing.

Thin grips provide a stronger hold on the bar, which gives less arm pump. But they also have additional padding due to the clever internal sleeve.

Yes they are shorter than many grips, but unless you are a gorilla, they are not too short, and your hands certainly don't spill over the sides.

    Great grips for smaller hands

    These are almost perfect.

The grip is great, even in the wet. They are nice and comfortable. I was worried I would feel the cut outs in them, but I haven't noticed them while riding. They are definitely on the firmer side for grips, but I quite like that.

Installation is fine, halfway between a standard lock-on grip and a slide-on. the rubber grabs the bars, but not as bad as a slide-on.

The only downfall is that they are a little shorter than the grips I am used to, probably by 15+mm. They are not uncomfortably short, but definitely noticeable to me.
