Updated for 2021 with an oversized 30mm strap to reduce movement during rides, the Dakine Hot Laps Gripper Bike Bag is a minimalist storage solution that can be mounted almost anywhere on your bike frame to provide just enough room for all the essentials. Perfect for those short rides where you don't want to wear a bag and also those big day epics where you want to move a little weight off your back and onto your bike frame.

Who's this item for: Enduro, Trail, XC, Overlanders, Cyclocross riders and Gravel Grinders. Really, anyone that rides a bike for more than 4ish minutes per lap.

Things you can carry: The Hot Laps Gripper was designed to carry a spare tube, tyre levers and CO2 canisters. We've seen all kinds of things carried in them though- snacks, folding tools, small first-aid kits, snake bite kits, tyre plug kits and even cell phones.

Mounting locations: You can mount this under your saddle or to almost any part of your bike frame. If you are installing it on a dual suspension bike make sure you test your mounting location before heading off on your ride to make sure nothing is going to foul when the suspension compresses.

Mount Type: The Gripper mounts with one durable hook and loop strap. The contents are contained in either the smaller elastic slip pouches or the main compartment.

Pros: The ability to grab your bike and have your spares already mounted to it is awesome.

Cons: When riding in muddy or wet weather the items stored in the Hot Laps Gripper are going to cop it. Placing weather-sensitive things in zip lock bags first isn't a bad idea.

(Note: 2x25g C02 cartridges will fit, but will make the bag seem like it's about to burst at the seams. 2x16g cartridges fit perfectly.)
