The new Bryton Rider 15E GPS Cycling Computer is the first Bryton computer to use a built in GNSS receiver for improved GPS accuracy. This IPX7 waterproof rated unit utilises Bluetooth 4.0 for it's optional sensor connections and has a 16 hour battery life. It will notify you of incoming calls, texts and emails and supports up to 20 functions.

Who's this item for: Riders who like to record their rides and keep track of the data accumulated from them. Perfect for riders who use Strava, TrainingPeaks or Selfloops, this handy little unit has a lot of features crammed into it's tiny 52-gram structure.

Connectivity: The Bryton Rider 15E utilises Bluetooth 4.0 for device connections. The Rider 15E will automatically adjust the data fields displayed when BLE (Bluetooth low energy) sensors are detected. Even better, when a sensor is running low on battery you will get a blinking notification on the display reminding you to charge it or replace the battery.

Functions: Lots of them. The Rider 15E has 20 functions in total including: speed, time, altitude, heart rate, distance, cadence, temperature, energy, auto-pause, heading (Compass Mode for pointing to the North and the Map Mode for pointing to current direction). The Rider 15E will also accommodate 2 separate bike profiles.

Notifications: Yes, it will notify you of incoming text messages, emails and calls.

Associated phone app: Bryton has there own app called Bryton Active App. You will use this for any and all firmware updates as well as display customisation.

3rd party syncables: Sure thing. The Rider 15E will auto sync through your Bryton Active App to Strava, TrainingPeaks, Selfloops by connecting your accounts. No software is needed to convert files. Workout files are automatically saved in FIT format, which can be uploaded to popular training sites.

Navigation Style: The Rider 15E comes with a built in GNSS receiver. This full satellite support incorporates GPS, Glonass (Russia), BDS (China), Galileo (Europe) and QZSS (Japan) satellite systems. This provides a much more reliable satellite coverage in any situation, even when trees are present.

Built in barometer: Yes, you see altitude and temperature data for your current location.

Display type: The 15E features an enhanced, 51mm Segment type HTN LCD display. Based on the longitude and latitude of your location the backlight function will be activated before the sunsets, automatically.

Number of items displayed per page / number of pages: You can display upto 4 cycling data items per page (3 customizable data + heading), with a total of 5 pages. The pages can be configured with the Bryton Active App via BLE connection.

Waterproof: Yes the Rider 15E is rated to IPX7.

Operating Temperature: Big range of operating temperatures, -10C° to 50C°.

Battery life: The 3,000 mAh battery lasts for upwards of 16 hours. It also accepts mobile power banks so you can charge while you record.

Charge time: The initial charge time will take at least 4 hours.

Pros: 20 functions, auto sync to Strava and other cycling apps via the Bryton Active App. Waterproof, in built barometer, auto backlight. Good battery life for a small, but powerful unit.

Cons: It does lack some features that higher end models offer.
