Description

X01 Eagle is the drivetrain for riders and racers who push for the purpose of gaining elevation. Whether having fun, progressing skills, or taking the win—X01 Eagle is designed and refined to support riders with the power of expanded capability.

The AXS upgrade kit allows you to experience AXS without the need to buy an entire groupset as it's compatible with the complete range of SRAM Eagle cassettes and crank arms.

What is AXS?

AXS (pronounced as "access") is SRAM’s new bike component integration system that connects electronic bike components and software into a zippy zappy package that eliminates the need to fiddle with cables and housing.

AXS enables you to ditch the clutter of traditional cables and experience crisp, precise shifting with a satisfyingly light feel at the controls (with cool robot noises).

The SRAM AXS mobile app allows you to see the battery status, change component behaviour, personalise the controls, receive maintenance reminders, and update the firmware.

What are the main benefits of XO1 Eagle AXS?

  • Wireless electronic shifting with engineered hardware for a new ergonomic experience based on touching a button rather than pushing a lever.
  • Faster, more consistent shifts. Letting you shift when you want, under load, without ever having to plan around terrain.
  • Gathering useful data, telling you how many shifts have been made, how frequently each cog is being used, helping you make smarter choices on chainring size, and more.

XO1 vs GX, what's the upgrade:

Simply put, the XO1 is a little bit lighter, a little fancier looking, and contains some higher-quality materials than GX.

What's in the kit?

  • XO1 Eagle AXS Derailleur
  • XO1 Eagle AXS Controller
  • SRAM Battery
  • SRAM Battery Charger
  • AXS Battery Cover
  • Eagle V2 B Gap Tool

XO1 Eagle AXS Derailleur

The XO1 Eagle AXS derailleur provides you with everything you would expect from SRAM's AXS connect components. It will smoothly shift on command, even when under load, and it's smart enough to protect itself if it cops a hit thanks to the super handy Overload Clutch. The derailleur is compatible with SRAM's new expanded range 10-52t cassette as well as their 10-50t cassettes to cater to different requirements for weight, terrain and riding style.

The AXS derailleur features a shorter cage for 10mm more ground clearance, with more chain wrap on the cassette to sit slightly further forward, and further inboard from mechanical Eagle.

Derailleur Specs:

  • Speeds: 12
  • Cage Material: Steel
  • Pulley Bearing Material: Steel
  • Max Tooth: 52
  • Weight w no battery: 363g

X01 Eagle AXS Controller

The XX1 Eagle AXS Controller changes your level of control on the bike when you’re under pressure and pushing hard. With no cable, housing or wires to worry about, SRAM was able to explore new design and engineering possibilities to create ergonomic touchpoints that make shifting effortless. The function of the paddles is customisable to your preference so you can choose which button does what through the AXS App.

Controller Specs:

  • Default Function: AXS Rear Derailleur
  • Orientation: Right
  • Control Points: Double
  • Clamp: Discrete (Matchmaker X compatible)
  • Lever Adjust: No
  • Multi-Position: Yes
  • Battery Size CR2032
  • Weight: 68g

SRAM Battery

The SRAM battery is the power source for eTap or AXS components. The same power unit is interchangeable between front and rear eTap AXS derailleurs, Eagle AXS derailleurs, and the RockShox Reverb AXS Seatpost.

Battery Features:

  • Charges in 60 minutes or less
  • 20 hrs of ride time per charge (ie. lots! )
  • Lightweight (24g) and easy to transport
  • Same battery design for all AXS components and original SRAM RED eTap

SRAM Battery Charger

SRAM batteries are literally a snap to remove and charge. Just flip the tool-free battery latch up and slide the battery up and out of the derailleur. Then snap the battery into the USB powered charger and connect the charger to any USB power source or A/C USB adaptor. A full charge takes up to 60 minutes to complete.

AXS Battery Cover

The AXS battery cover is a lightweight cowling designed to protect the battery while installed on the derailleur. The AXS Battery Cover fits all AXS mountain bike derailleurs.

Eagle V2 B-Gap Tool

The V2 B-Gap Adjustment Tool is compatible with Eagle 50T/52T AXS and mechanical derailleurs. It's simple and easy to use and will help you to quickly set up your fancy new derailleur. The tool is small enough to easily stash pack in your ride bag or toolbox for repeated use.

This is the most precise tool for setting up and adjusting your Eagle drivetrain and will save you a lot of head-scratching.

WARNING — KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN

  • Swallowing may lead to serious injury in as little as 2 hours or death, due to chemical burns and potential perforation of the esophagus.

  • If you suspect your child has swallowed or inserted a button battery immediately call the 24-hour Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 for fast, expert advice.

  • Examine devices and make sure the battery compartment is correctly secured, e.g. that the screw or other mechanical fastener is tightened. Do not use if the compartment is not secure.

  • Dispose of used button batteries immediately and safely. Flat batteries can still be dangerous.

  • Tell others about the risk associated with button batteries and how to keep their children safe.
