Description

The Works Components 1.5 Degree Angled Headsets are designed for people who wish to change the head angle of their bike to make it steeper or slacker.

Proudly machined in the UK from 6082 T6 aluminium with a black anodised finish, the headsets use sealed angular contact bearings and come complete with all parts required for fitment (top-cap, star-nut, bearings and crown race).

Headtube lengths are measured excluding the original headset. Your bike should have this info listed in the manual or in the geometry chart on the manufacturer's website.

    Quality product that works well but needs careful installation

    This is a high quality headset, that allowed us to fix handling of a VERY slack bike. We mulleted a bike designed around 27.5 wheels and it made the bike difficult to ride at anything less than flat out and terrible at anytime around tight corners. With the headset mounted at minus 1.5 degrees, its now made it an absolute pleasure to ride again and faster, with race times matching the improved feel.

    You need a headset press kit to install correctly (plus removal of your stock headset and crown race), so it may be beyond the average backyard mechanic - take your time aligning it, as a little off on the install and your fork will be crooked!

    Do not underestimate the importance of head angle!

    Do not underestimate the importance of head angle!, I purchased a bike with an extremely slack head angle, too slack in fact, it just didn't feel right. Upon speaking to some people in the know and doing the math, I opted on a 1.5 degree headset which brought it back to a perfect angle for my riding style. The quality of the Works Components product is also second to none, with tight tolerances and high quality bearings. Highly recommended for anyone looking to get the most out of their bike.
