SH-XC702 SPD Shoes

The Shimano XC701 SPD Shoes are built XC racing and maximum pedalling performance. They feature an ultra-rigid, lightweight carbon midsole to ensure every ounce of power you put out makes it directly into your drivetrain.

Who's it For: These shoes are for riders that love a good pedal fest and want a shoe that is comfortable, adjustable, and provides exceptional power output.

Pedal Interface: These are clip-in shoes that will work with any MTB clip-in pedals.

Closure: Dual independent Boa L6 dials allow for quick, micro-tension adjustments and easy release when you need to kick them off and jump in an ice bath at the end of the day.

Upper Materials: Supple high-density synthetic leather with perforation and lightweight mesh/TPU combination that bring superior fit and comfort.

Sole Type: These are an XC style shoe so the tread is fairly minimal but it does have a reinforced spike mount for use in extreme conditions. Works with 18 mm spikes. The low stack height midsole helps to stabilise the foot, maximising power transfer and efficiency.

Weight: Approx 326g for a size 42

Last/Width type: The XC701 uses Shimano's Dynalast which is their closest fitting last that prioritises pedalling performance over walking comfort. It is also available in E-width sizes which use a wider last that offers 5% more volume in the tow box and 6% more volume across the ball of the foot.
