The Pike is the trail slayer in the Rockshox range and it's been made even better for 2021. The same chassis and excellent Charger 2.1 damper have been carried over from the 2020 model, but the DebonAir air spring has had a bit of a revamp. The new air spring maintains a higher ride height and provides more support in the initial part of the stroke, making it feel more composed in steep terrain.
Who's this for: The Pike Ultimate is perfect for XC and Trail trail riders looking for a lightweight performance fork with plenty of tuning options.
Spring type: This uses the improved DebonAir C1 air spring to provide a higher ride height and more initial support than the previous DebonAir.

Damper technology: Charger 2.1. Independently adjustable high-speed compression, low-speed compression, and rebound.
The 2.1 features the following refinements over the Charger 2 damper:
Travel adjustability: By replacing the air shaft, you can adjust this fork from 120-150mm travel (27.5"), or 120-150mm travel (29").
Volume adjustability: Rockshox bottomless tokens can be added to provide more support and ramp later in the travel.
Stanchion diameter: Thick-walled, 35mm stanchion for super stiffness.
Axle size and style: Bolt up, 110x15mm Boost axle.
Steerer tube: Standard 1.5 - 1 1/8th taper.
Brake rotor: 180mm minimum, 220mm maximum
Pros: Lightweight yet stiff chassis, buttery smooth feel. More support than previous models.
Cons: All that awesome performance does come at a cost.

- Less HSC - less harsh over braking bumps and big impacts
- More LSC - more support early in the travel, keeping the bike riding high
- New piston wear band - better oil flow management
- New rebound piston - more high-speed flow, but also more low-speed control
- SKF rebound shaft seal - 30% friction decrease
