Description

The elbow protector features a highly efficient ventilation system and an outer fabric which is made with high tenacity polyamide yarns for low friction and high abrasion resistance. VPD is the perfect material for mountain biking as it wraps around a rider's body shape when warm which gives great freedom of movement on a bike. To protect riders during a fall the VPD technology then hardens on impact to help minimise injury.

    Comfy and fairly robust

    Wore for first time this weekend. Used to using the Fox Enduro pads. In comparison these are nearly as comfy but probably offer a little more protection and feel like they won't tear as easy

    Pricey but worth it

    Fit - Im 181cm and 76kg and these fit really well. I found I was between sizes with IXS so much happier with the fit on these.

    Function - these offer pretty decent protection and coverage, definitely more than my old IXS Flows. The silicone strips and elastic for grip are very effective, no movement at all even on rough trails.

    Comfort - I find these really comfortable. Comparable to my IXS Flows. Breathability seems decent relative to the protection but its always warmer than no pads. Cant say I noticed the extra heat vs IXS flow but with more coverage I assume they are warmer.

    Durability - Only worn these a few times so cant talk to durability yet. They seem well made though.

    Overall, Im really happy with these for enduro style riding in rocky terrain. The fit and quality seem really good but they aint cheap.
