Scorpion XC Mixed Terrain Tyre

The most versatile tyre in Pirelli's XC lineup, the Scorpion XC M tyre is designed to enable you to negotiate a wide range of different terrain types with confidence, whether racing or training.

The tyre's design draws on Pirelli's long history of creating tyres for motocross with plenty of support for the knobs and excellent mud-shedding qualities.

Pirelli's unique single compound rubber has excellent tear resistance and chemical grip qualities, providing consistent performance in wet and dry conditions, even as the tread starts to wear.

Who's this item for: This tyre is well suited to XC riders looking for a fast and versatile tyre that is tough enough to go the distance but not so heavy that'll it'll hold you back.

Suggested terrain use: This is a mixed-terrain tyre so it should be a great all-rounder.

Which wheel? This tyre would work well both front and rear but Pirelli particularly recommend it for use as a front tyre, paired up with the Scorpion XC R in the rear.

Casing: 120 TPI

• ProWALL: Reinforced for extra puncture protection and improved handling at lower pressures. An additional layer of nylon fabric is applied over the casing sidewalls for extra protection and improved cornering stability.
• LITE: All about providing maximum rolling efficiency and suppleness, uses a lighter carcass to increase speed and riding feel.

Compound:

SmartGRIP is an advanced compound developed using motorsport experience. The single compound provides constant high grip performance both in wet and dry conditions, even when the tread starts to wear.

The relatively narrow width of these tyres would pair best with rims with internal widths under 30mm.
