Forekaster V2 Tyre

Bought a new bike and after 2 runs I blew my front tyre... I like to think it was because of how fast I was going but it was actually due to my lack of MTB skills. Nick from MTB Direct helped pick which tyre best suits my skills and terrain I'd like to ride and within a couple days I was back on the trails. Thanks Nick, legend!

Me and the missus have been running Assegai front and Dissector rear as a great trail combo but wanted something with less rolling resistance for some xc/gravelly events (yes, on trail bikes lol), decided on swapping the front to the Forekaster V2 and we certainly aren't disappointed, fast rolling but without the fear of losing grip, probably will end up running these front and rear in the future, they are really that good. I like to see them as baby Assegais.

I was after a lightish front tyre with good rolling resistance and grip in very technical terrain for fast cross country riding.

The forkaster 2 is a great medium weight front tyre on very technical rocky and tree root heavy trails. It’s runs well in the dry, is pretty fast with low rolling resistance and has performed really well on steep technical downhill sections where grip in the loose stuff matters. It took a little more skill on damp greasy mud but I’ll see how it goes when things get wetter.
