Description

Abrasion protection wasn't enough for ION's approach to functional and smart protective gear. That's why they amped up the E-Sleeve. The Sleeve construction offers a compressed fit to make sure everything stays in place while biking. For added light-impact protection ION uses a 3D-shaped protection pad. The pre-shaped form and strategic cuttings of the pad enable it to fit the natural posture of your elbows and make sure that the pad can follow those movements. In case of a crash, a non-sewn layer on top of the sleeve makes sure that you get a bit of sliding ability, preventing the pad from riding up in contact with the ground.

Features:

  • Removable 3-directional pad; Thanks to its pre-shaped structure, the protection pad adapts to the lateral and longitudinal axis of the joints, allowing freedom of movement in all directions. The pad can be easily removed for cleaning.
  • 3D shaped compression fit
  • No-sew abrasion element; Additional lining on the outside, which prevents the protector from moving in case of a crash. Also, it protects the material underneath adding to a longer lifetime of the product.

    I hate being sensible

    These are brilliant - comfy to the point of forgetting you are wearing them , super low profile fit under anything . Not had a massive stack yet to test how they go in a fall but you would go something beefier if that was the main requirement . These are the pads I like because I will actually wear them . If you have massive upper arms you may have an issue but perfect for my skinny little arms.

    Why wouldn’t you

    They feel really comfortable. Havent used them in anger yet though. Off to Maydena this weekend, will see how they go. I got the large and fit is good. I have a medium elbow sleeve from another brand and my guns must have grown because they are a bugger to wear. Thinking these will do the trick nicely instead.

    Nicely designed product/ comfortable

    Replaced my original ion elbow guards with rhis upgraded model for a bit of added protection. The orginal eblow guards were great, i crashed tested many times, saved me from many cuts. The updates make these more comfortable, they have tighter fit and but the new more engineered materrial has give in the correct places. Elbow protection feels more substantial, but is soft and pliable and cups elbows well, yet straightens out quickly. Its a slimline guard, hardly know its there when on.
