New Fortus 30 Single Cavity Wheelset from Hope, offering a strong but lighter version of the Fortus 30 wheel, designed for Trail and Enduro use.

    Great trail bike wheel

    I bought this wheel to chuck on the hardtail. At this price point I would expect the wheel to come taped and a good looking valve. That being said the kit included a wipe and tape to DIY. Cushcore and tyre install were an absolute breeze. Hub is high engagement and itā€™s not the loudest out there. So if quieter wheels are your thing this could be your wheel. Ride feel is great; not too stiff of a rim but also not ā€œwet noodleā€ like. Thereā€™s a spacer for the cassette which is also provided. I would 100% recommend. 4 starts just because not pre tapped and the cheaper looking valve.

    Super smooth

    Very happy with this wheel - the Pro 5 is super smooth and while it's not the loudest hub, it has a really nice sound without being obnoxious. The wheel came perfectly true and while I wasn't a fan of the included tubeless tape the setup was otherwise easy and the bead snapped in first go. I haven't tested the strength of the rim on rock gardens but it's already survived a crash unscathed.

    One unusual observation - the hub apparently sounds like a h*rny march fly because the rear wheel got swarmed with them as I was pushing through a muddy section!

    Mullet wheel

    I already bent my standard rims so needed something a bit stronger to set my fuel ex up as a mullet. Hubs fairly quiet which I like and it's all made in UK not china. Was an easy swap over process and so far so good just needs a faster rider. šŸŗ
