Description

Taller, meatier, and more aggressive than the Newton, the Newton ST ups the ante when front grip and loose terrain traction is a priority.

From aggressive trail riding to the demands of downhill racing, the Newton ST delivers consistent cornering bite, predictable braking control and premium performance in ever-changing conditions.

The tread design features ramped centre knobs to reduce rolling resistance, while tall, arch-supported side knobs provide ample braking and cornering grip.

Protection:

  • M:Wall- Durable Mono fabric found in the sidewall of the tyre and used where cut and abrasion are paramount.
  • A:Wall- A butyl layer located within the casing ply that providing the ultimate defence to cut and abrasion as well as providing extra sidewall support.

Tyre Compounds:

  • Dynamic R/T: Rugged-Terrain compound specifically formulated to balance grip, wear and efficiency.
  • Dynamic RS/T: Rugged Soft-Terrain compound formulated for maximum grip.

    Great Tyre

    Great all-round tyre. Hard to get on with a tubeless insert but worth it in the end. Solid casing and good cornering traction. Would recommend. Good shipping time as well with the floods and all. But overall Great.

    Good year? Great ride!!

    great tyres, sticky grippy durable side walls they have worked well on all terrain- hero dirt is best!! i was surprised at how well they go in wet conditions and haven't wide eyed at loose over hard pack. only down side is they are a bit heavy but this hasn't stopped me from buying another set and i like the aesthetics of the goodyear on the side of the tyre!!

    Thinner than branded.

    These tyres a really narrow. The 29x2.4 Newton ST only measures 2.26. Its really skinny. For comparison the Escape 29x2.35 measures 2.4. Its fatter than the Newton ST. Goodyear has weird sizing.

    My first Goodyear 2.6 DH tyre that I have had.

    The 29inch Goodyear Newton 2.6 Ultimate DH - A wall dynamic RS/T tyre is being used as a front tyre on my hardtail, grip is good on a variety of trails and it appears to be wearing well. i do find it a bit sort in the wall and tend to pump it up a bit harder than other 2.6 tyres I have had.
